Natalie's Score: 89/100

This full-bodied Australian Shiraz is made from grapes grown in the cool McLaren Vale, and made more interesting with a splash of Barbera grapes in the blend. Attractive aromas of blackberry and black current on the nose and palate of this dry, full-bodied wine. Savoury and meaty, yet also juicy. This wine packs a flavour punch. Pair with prime rib.

Shiraz food pairings: grilled meats, cheesy pizza, grilled flat iron steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This Shiraz has loads of ripe fruit and the Barbera delivers what it should - higher acidity. Some Aussie wine lovers love the richness softer acids give a wine. So be aware it's atypical for Shiraz but this makes it seem fresher and brighter. Enjoy if open minded about Aussie Shiraz.
From South Australia, Wits End, Luna 2016is a dry, full-bodied Shiraz with a splash of Barbera from cool-climate McLaren Vale, and great value under $20. The wine is spicy and fragrant with dark cherries. Good medium-bodied weight on the palate with a mouthful of ripe berry, cherry and cake spice flavours. Enjoy now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
