Natalie's Score: 90/100

Vite Colte Fosche Chardonnay opens with inviting aromas of ripe cantaloupe, jasmine, and subtle herb notes. This medium-bodied white is dry with a pleasing texture, crisp acidity, and a clean, well-balanced finish. Serve it chilled with pan-seared chicken breast as the wine's freshness and weight will complement the delicate flavors, or lay it down for 2 to 4 years. Winemaker Bruno Cordero collaborates closely with vineyard manager Daniele Eberle and 180 dedicated growers who cultivate 300 hectares across Piedmont, each contributing a portion of their finest estate vineyards to this prestigious cooperative founded as Terre da Vino in the 1980s and rebranded as Vite Colte in 2016. The cooperative's headquarters sits in the heart of Barolo, just below the region's most celebrated vineyard sites, making this accessible Chardonnay a compelling introduction to the quality and value that this grower-owned collective consistently delivers.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled trout, roasted pork loin, creamy risotto.
