Tenuta San Leonardo Sauvignon Blanc from Alto Adige presents a refined, mineral-driven white wine revealing notes of white grapefruit, jasmine, and hints of wet river stones with a subtle herbaceous quality. It's bone-dry and medium-bodied with a sleek, polished texture and zesty acidity that carries through to an elongated citrus-driven finish. Serve it well chilled with seared halibut in lemon butter as the wine's bright acidity and mineral character will complement the delicate fish beautifully, or pair it with fresh mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad where the wine's crisp, clean profile will enhance the summer flavors. Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga, who joined his father at this historic family estate in 2001, oversees winemaking with consultant Carlo Ferrini, crafting this elegant white alongside the estate's renowned Bordeaux-style reds. The estate, once a monastery over 1,000 years ago, has been in the Guerrieri Gonzaga family since 1724 and was awarded the prestigious title of "Winery of the Year 2025" by Gambero Rosso, Italy's most respected wine guide. This wine drinks beautifully now or can be enjoyed over the next 3-5 years.

Food pairings: seared halibut in lemon butter, fresh mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad, steamed mussels with white wine.
