Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2004 Vega Sauco Adoremus Tinta De Toro, aged in French and American oak for 24 months, is a medium to full bodied, integrated to aged wine, with intense aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, overpowering vanilla-coconut-oak, liquorice and leather, and is starting to develop some funky notes. Tannins are refined to tannic (decant for 30 min) and the finish is long. It is ready to drink now and should hold for another 5 or so years. My impression: very NICE, 91 pts – though a bit over-extracted. Tasted March/12.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nov 26, 2013: Deep ruby, complex nose of plum, black raspberry, cherry, toasty oak spice, leather, smoke and vanilla. Dry cherry, red currant, mineral, tar and spice greet the tongue along with fine grippy tannins. Medium full body and well balanced with a warm long earthy, cherry finish. Let sit a few more years or pair with grilled rib-eye with mushrooms and root vegetables. 89+
This wine is 100% Tinta de Toro, the local name for Tempranillo. Colour: cherry, garnet rim. Nose: spicy, creamy oak, toasty, complex, characterful, elegant, fruit expression. Palate: powerful, flavourful, toasty, round tannins. Score: 91 Source: Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
