Produced by Walter Clappis Wine Co., this is a huge Australian red wine. Lots of dark fruit, smoke and pepper on the finish. Down Under intensity and concentration of flavour. Savoury, meaty and juicy with luscious layers of black fruit. This is a big-boned wine, yet balanced. Love the replays of fleshy blackberries and plums across the palate. Signature McLaren Vale Shiraz with smoky, toasty oak and charred black plums in an attractive way. Pair with hearty meat dishes.

Shiraz food pairings: Greek marinated lamb ribs on the grill, souvlaki, spanakopita pie.

Reviews and Ratings

The Hedonist (2014) is savoury and meaty with fleshy blackberry and dark plum flavours. This Shiraz from the McLaren Vale wine region is full-bodied, smoky and meaty. Drinking well now and for the next 10 years. Pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
