Full-bodied Australian red wine made from the country's classic Shiraz grape. This blockbuster offers tart black fruit and toasty oak on the nose with a good grip on the palate. Barossa is Australia's heartland for Shiraz. This one offers great complexity and a long finish. Pair with prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Teusner's Riebke wine series all come from a family-run winery, in the Ebenezer district (a spot coveted for its concentrated fruit coming from very old vines). The Riebke family have run this winery for six generations. Working with special contract growers are how many companies discover some of their mpst interesting expressions of the land they grow from.
This wine is gushing with pure fruit. The colour in the glass is a pretty, dark cherry colour.
Aromatics are peppery and spicy, but alsp full of inviting cassis and currant. Slightly medicinal and floral too.
The flavours have fantastic acidity, which keeps things nice and fresh in spite of the elevated alcohol. Plum, currant replays, and some nice vanilla, and chocolate.
Pair this with braised meats or pork-belly. Should cellar well for 5+ too!
The Riebke (2015) is a blockbuster Barossa Shiraz produced by the Riebke brothers in the Ebenezer district of the Barossa Valley. The grapes grow on old, low yielding vines and the family has made wine for six generations. Kym Teusner is winemaker. Look for dark, ripe fruits, savoury spice on this full-bodied big red. - Community Wine Reviews
