Tenuta Perano Riserva Chianti Classico from Tuscany is a dry, full-bodied wine crafted from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot, revealing lots of spice, hazelnut and tree bark character with ripe mulberry, cassis and cranberry flavors accented by star anise, coriander, saddle leather and cured tobacco on the intense palate framed by polished, silky tannins. Serve it at room temperature with grilled Florentine steak, where the wine's velvety structure and savoury complexity complement the charred, herb-rubbed beef, or pair it with pappardelle with wild boar ragù as the wine's intense fruit and earthy notes harmonize with the rich, slow-braised sauce. Winemaker Lamberto Frescobaldi oversees production at Tenuta Perano, part of the historic Frescobaldi family estate whose winemaking legacy in Tuscany spans over 700 years and 30 generations, making them one of Italy's most distinguished wine dynasties. This exceptional Riserva from the renowned Gaiole in Chianti subzone can be enjoyed now or cellared through 2030 as its layers continue to evolve.

Chianti Classico food pairings: meaty lasagne, mushroom risotto, pasta Bolognese.
