A mouth-watering, structured Malbec with lots of, ripe black fruit wild herb and underbrush flavours on the palate. Great acidity for food. Tannins are firm. Pair with grilled game meats. Malbec vines are planted at an altitude of 1200 to 1400 metre above sea level. The wine is matured in French oak barrels for eight months.

From Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza wine region, Sophenia Estate 2017 Malbec is full-bodied, smooth and mouth-filling with black cherry, plum, blueberry, green herb and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Great acidity for food. Pair with a roast pork. Produced by the famous winemaker consultant, Michel Rolland, who works with this winery, and his signature is here in the robust, luscious fruit profile of this wine. The vineyards for this wine are located in the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of 1200 metres above sea level, which is on the front label, and the wine is matured in French oak for 8 months. - Community Wine Reviews
