Sea Level Brewing Blueberry Pale Ale is a fruit-infused craft pale ale from the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, blending pressed wild blueberry juice from Van Dyk's farm, a beloved Nova Scotia institution, into their Millstone Harvest Pale Ale base. The nose offers fresh blueberry, light citrus hop, and a clean malt backbone, with a subtle earthiness that keeps the fruit character grounded and genuine rather than artificially sweet. On the palate you'll taste wild blueberry, blueberry jam, honey, and a hit of lemon zest, all over a smooth, gently bitter pale ale base, finishing with a clean, lightly fruity fade that invites another sip. It is like dessert in a pint glass without being sweet, and a wonderful match for warm blueberry grunt, that classic Atlantic Canada cobbler dessert. Best served at 6 to 8°C in a tulip glass or clean pint glass where the blueberry aromatics and hop character can be appreciated together.

Food pairings: buttermilk fried chicken, maple-glazed back bacon, wild blueberry and brie flatbread, smoked duck breast, brown butter crepes with fresh berries.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
