San Biagio di Roggero G. Sorano Barolo from Piedmont is a dry, full-bodied wine crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, revealing aromas of preserved and fresh red fruit, candied citrus peel and clove spice with balanced acidity, integrated tannins and a lingering, elegant finish. Serve it at room temperature with braised short ribs in red wine reduction, where the wine's structured tannins and earthy complexity complement the tender, richly flavored meat, or pair it with wild mushroom risotto finished with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano as the wine's dried fruit notes contrast beautifully with the dish's savoury, umami-rich character. Winemaker Giuseppe Sorano produces this exceptional Barolo from the prestigious Serralunga d'Alba commune, known for producing some of the most powerful and age-worthy expressions of Nebbiolo in the entire Barolo zone. This remarkable bottling earned an impressive recognition at the 2024 Sommeliers Choice Awards and can be enjoyed now or cellared through 2030 as its complex layers continue to unfold.

Barolo food pairings: roast Cornish game hens, bison burgers, grilled ribeye steak.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
