Renwood Premier is a smoky, spicy full-bodied, old-vines Zinfandel from Amador County, California. Ripe and concentrated flavors of blueberry, spiced plum and mocha flavours on the plate. Structured tannins and mouth-watering acidity for grilled fare from the BBQ, but will show better if cellared for three years.

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An eye-catching "R" on the label, this is a full-bodied Californian Zinfandel from an area of the Sierra Nevada that boasts its production of this varietal and its aged vines. Full-bodied with dark berry aromas and oak influence with vanilla and cocoa. Dark fruit on the palate with medium acidity and tannins. Decant or age. Will pair well with barbequed lamb or beef. Tasted February 2020.
Renwood 2017 is a full-bodied old vines Zinfandel from Amador County, California. Smoky on the nose with ripe plum, vanilla and spicy. Juicy and lush n the palate with ripe strawberry, blueberry, dark chocolate and pepper spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Nice now, better in a couple of years. Pair with barbeque fare. - Community Wine Reviews
