Pelee Island Vidal Icewine reveals concentrated aromas of candied peach, honeyed pineapple, and tangerine zest with whispers of tropical mango and vanilla bean. Sweet and full-bodied with luscious viscosity, it glides across the palate balanced by vibrant lime acidity before finishing with a persistent honeyed edge. Serve it well chilled or cellar it through 2036. This is the convenient half bottle size (375 ml) which is ideal when you'd like to begin a meal with a glass and half each to toast. Walter Schmoranz, who arrived at the estate in the early years, leads the winemaking team at Canada's largest estate winery with over 700 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards on Pelee Island, established in 1854 making it the birthplace of Canadian winemaking, and the estate earned international recognition at the 1878 Paris World Fair with wines crafted at the original Vin Villa stone wine house whose ruins still stand on the island today. Pair this luxurious dessert wine with lemon tart where its honeyed sweetness complements the sharp citrus curd, or enjoy it with creamy cheesecake topped with fresh berries as the wine's tropical notes beautifully enhance the rich, tangy flavors.

Vidal Icewine food pairings: lemon tart, creamy cheesecake with fresh berries, blue cheese and walnuts.
