Palacio Glorioso Reserva from Rioja is a polished, full-bodied red wine crafted from Tempranillo with notes of dark cherry, vanilla, dried violet and aged balsamic. This dry wine displays silky tannins and vibrant acidity that will continue to evolve over the next six years. Serve it at room temperature with lamb tagine with prunes as the wine's sweet spice complements the Moroccan flavors, or pair it with mushroom and manchego empanadas where the wine's earthy depth enhances the savory filling. Winemaker Juan Carlos López Lacalle ages this Reserva in a combination of American and French oak barrels, creating layers of complexity while preserving the fruit's purity. The historic Bodegas Palacio was founded in 1894 by Don Cosme de Palacio, who later went on to establish the legendary Vega Sicilia estate in Ribera del Duero, making him one of Spain's most influential wine pioneers. This elegant Rioja represents exceptional value and will drink beautifully through 2031.

Food pairings: smoked meats, slow-braised beef brisket, blade roast with a Mirepoix.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
