A lush texture with layers of flavor and a satisfying long finish. This superb, robust wine offers ripe blackberries and cherries with background notes of violets, cassis and smoky leather. This wine is made entirely from the Malbec grape grown in an 80-year-old vineyard in Mendoza’s Lujan de Cuyo region. Half of the wine was fermented in barrels and then was aged 12 months in French oak.

Malbec food pairings: beef with a red wine reduction sauce, hamburgers, roast and grilled lamb, bison steak.

I find it interesting that you don't need to be a wine expert to taste the difference between this sophisticated Malbec and the Malbec that are sold around the $15. This is truly a very good Malbec. It's pure, clean, silky, full body, multi layered. Rewarding indeed.
