Maison du Vigneron Cuvée 8 Savoie Pinot Noir from the Alpine foothills reveals bright wild strawberry, tart cranberry, violet and a whisper of mountain herbs. It's dry and light to medium-bodied with silky tannins and crisp acidity that gives this mountain-grown Pinot remarkable freshness and elegance. Serve it slightly below room temperature alongside seared tuna steaks where the wine's delicate structure and bright fruit won't overpower the fish's subtle flavors, or pair it with mushroom and caramelized onion pizza where the wine's earthy notes and lively acidity complement the savory toppings. Oenologist Nicolas Haeffelin, whose family has produced wine in every generation since 1560, oversees winemaking for Les Grands Chais de France's portfolio, bringing his deep Alsatian heritage and training from Burgundy's prestigious Institut Jules Guyot to this Alpine expression. Savoie's mountainous terrain near the Swiss border creates ideal cool growing conditions at elevations between 250 and 500 meters, where Pinot Noir produces distinctly lighter, more delicate wines than those from Burgundy, and the region's glacial moraine and limestone scree soils impart a characteristic alpine minerality that has defined Savoyard winemaking for over two millennia. Enjoy this refreshing Pinot Noir through 2029.

Pinot Noir food pairings: seared tuna steaks, steak tartare, vegetarian pizza.
