Felipe Staiti's Luz De Noche Malbec from Uco Valley, Mendoza is a silky, medium-bodied red wine offering notes of blueberry, mulberry, bright cherry and savory herbs. This dry wine displays soft tannins and juicy blue-fruit character that make it immediately approachable. Serve it at room temperature with grilled lamb burgers as the wine's creamy finish complements the charred meat, or pair it with tourtière where the wine's fresh profile balances the spiced meat pie. Winemaker Felipe Staiti crafts this fruit-driven Malbec from grapes sourced from Vista Flores, Tunuyán, where high-altitude vineyards in alluvial, loamy soils with calcareous deposits create wines of remarkable purity and rounded mouthfeel, aging the wine entirely in stainless steel with lees stirring. Luz de Noche translates to "Light of the Night," recognizing the nighttime grape harvest that takes place during March when cool temperatures preserve the fruit's freshness and aromatic intensity. This smooth-textured Malbec represents excellent value and is best enjoyed now through 2026.

Food pairings: lamburgers, tourtiere, grilled meats.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
