Loveblock Pinot Gris is a beautifully poised, medium to full-bodied certified organic white from the Awatere Valley's higher-altitude, windswept terroir, where north-facing slopes, intense sun, and alluvial soils produce grapes of genuine complexity and restraint. The nose is elegantly understated, with ripe white nectarine, dried apricot, a whisper of chamomile, and a cool stony minerality that speaks directly to this distinctly cooler corner of Marlborough. Dry and impeccably balanced, the palate has a silky, rounded texture with delicate fruit, fine structure, and a harmonious, lingering finish. Serve it well chilled and enjoy now. Winemaker Kim Crawford, one of New Zealand's most celebrated wine figures, crafts this wine alongside founder and wife Erica Crawford at their BioGro-certified organic estate, which they established on what was once a rugged, untamed sheep station after selling the globally iconic Kim Crawford brand to Constellation in 2006. In a remarkable pioneering move, Loveblock became the first winery in the world to use green tea tannin extract as a natural alternative to sulfur in one of its wines, cementing the estate's reputation as a boldly innovative force in sustainable winemaking.

Pinot Gris food pairings: Thai green curry with jasmine rice, seared scallops with cauliflower purée and crispy capers, aged gouda with sliced pear and toasted cashews.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
