Lornano Commendator Enrico from Tuscany is a powerful, full-bodied red offering aromas of ripe dark plum, dried iris, and hints of toasted cedar. It's dry with velvety tannins and vibrant acidity. Serve it at room temperature with osso buco as the wine's concentrated depth and warming character will enhance the braised veal and rich sauce beautifully, or pair it with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano where the wine's robust structure and lengthy finish will complement the cheese's crystalline, nutty complexity perfectly. Consulting winemakers Franco and Matteo Bernabei craft this wine for fourth-generation owner Nicolò Pozzoli, who replanted all the vines and improved quality dramatically when he took over in 2010 at this boutique estate owned by his family since 1904. Named after Enrico Taddei, Nicolò's great-grandfather who purchased the winery, this wine blends Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and ages for 18 months in French oak barriques followed by additional bottle aging, and the winery is located on the southwest hills of Castellina in Chianti Classico where the structure dates to the 18th century. Enjoy now or cellar for 6-10 years.

Food pairings: osso buco, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, wild boar ragu.
