MINE: From the Rías Baixas wine region, Lolo 2022 Albariño is produced by the Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana from Old Vines Albariño, some over 300 years of age! In close proximity to the Northern Atlantic Ocean, vines are treated to sea fogs, briny mineral sea spray complementing Albariño's melon, zesty grapefruit and blanched almond flavours with briny mineral notes. Lovely and fresh now, enjoy it chilled with all things seafood. NEW: Some of the old vines behind this Albariño are over three hundred years old, farmed by a cooperative near Spain's Atlantic coast. White peach and orange zest carry the nose, a saline edge close behind. It's crisp and refreshing in the mouth, bright acidity carrying it through a long finish. Chill it and pour with grilled whitefish or chicken fajitas.

Alvarinho food pairings: chicken fajitas, grilled whitefish with rice and peas, grilled scampi shrimp with just a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
