Lightfoot & Wolfville's Brut Rosé from Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia is a delicate, medium-bodied sparkling wine blending Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier with notes of wild strawberry, mandarin, pink grapefruit and fresh mint. This is a Blanc de Noirs, made from only red grapes, namely Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, thus the moniker blanc des noirs (white wine from red grapes). This sparkling wine is made using Méthode Traditionnelle or the traditional method of the second fermentation in the bottle, just as they do in the Champagne region. Serve it well chilled with cold poached lobster as the wine's crisp acidity complements the sweet shellfish, or pair it with smoked trout canapés where the wine's mineral character balances the smoky fish. Winemaker Rafael Brousset ages this elegant sparkler eleven months on lees before disgorgement, creating remarkable purity and freshness that showcases Nova Scotia's potential for world-class sparkling wines. Lightfoot & Wolfville has been pioneering quality winemaking in the Annapolis Valley since 2009, establishing the region as one of Canada's most exciting emerging appellations for traditional-method sparklers. Enjoy this refined rosé immediately while its vibrant fruit is at its peak.

Brut Rosé Sparkling food pairings: buttered lobster rolls, freshly steamed and chilled crab, crudité platter.
