Vintages Wine Panel: Winemaker Thomas Bachelder uses only his best barrels sourced from a small plot within the 30 ha Talon Ridge Vineyard to make this wine. The nose displays a complex array of stone and citrus fruit aromas as well as earthy notes and nicely integrated toasty oak. Dry and medium full-bodied, it shows good density of fruit through the richly textured palate balanced by vibrant acidity. Notes of yellow plum, biscuits, flint and smoke add to the appeal as does the excellent length. This will definitely improve with another 1-3 years in the cellar. My note: Hazelnut, buttery goodness! Fresh baked bread out of the oven with all the warmth and comfort it provides. Rich layers of succulent flavor.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
