Laurent Perrachon's Fleurie Vieilles Vignes is a medium-bodied, dry Gamay from old vines that delights with an aromatic nose of vivid pomegranate, sun-warmed plum, and a gentle violet florality, underpinned by notes of damp soil and a whisper of crushed stone. The palate is juicy and generous, with soft, polished tannins and a refreshing lift of acidity that carries the fruit through to a clean, earthy finish. Serve it slightly chilled to showcase its fresh, fruit-forward character, and note that it has fine aging potential through 2034. Laurent Perrachon, who runs the estate with his wife Martine and their sons Maxime and Adrien, comes from a winemaking family whose name appears in the records of JuliƩnas as far back as 1601, making it one of the most storied family lineages in all of Beaujolais.

Food pairings: seared tuna with olive tapenade, chicken thighs braised in red wine and herbs, charcuterie board with cornichons and Dijon mustard.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
