Leather and violet seduction on the nose of this full-bodied, complex wine. Subtle dark berry and anise with spice smoke. Great cellar candidate but why wait? Highly recommended.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Ripened to perfection the grapes Garnacha and Carinen combine here to create an elegant and complex wine with flavours of black plum, dark cherry, dried strawberry, mint, baking spices, over layers of savoury floral and dried tobacco. The well-integrated tannins create body and that carries the flavours through on the long, refreshing, cohesive finish.
Drink now, or cellar until 2020.
Pair with duck confit, Blue cheese, rich grilled meats, or spiced sausages.
Date tasted: April 2014.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Outstanding! Tannins, alcohol, acidity and robust flavours in a happy marriage. Dried strawberry, dark cherry, plum, violet, cola, vanilla, nutmeg with leather, smoke and mint on the long elegant finish. This Priorat is drinking beautifully now could easily cellar over the next 7 years+. Hands down one of the most beautiful wines I have enjoyed in recent memory.
Pair with grilled lamb burger with blue cheese, spicy lamb sausage, or on it's own!
Tasted Apr. 2014
