Reviews and Ratings

Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Yianni of Kir-Yianni is Yianni Boutari, chemist, winemaker, alcoholic, protector of Europe's brown bears and mayor since 2011 of Greece's second largest city, Thessaloniki. The Drink Wine and Giggle Gals love to talk about Greek political intrigue as we sip on Petra, a wine clean, light and fresh. Yianni Boutari has made Thessaloniki similarly clean, light and fresh, banishing the city's previous mayor to a lifetime in prison for embezzling $23 million in city funds and welcoming tourists from Israel and Turkey to his city that is rich in Jewish and Turkish history. Oh, if only the winemakers would rule...!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
