Natalie's Score: 90/100

Gamay at its best tastes like the harvest itself, and this Beaujolais-Villages captures that spirit. Dark fruit and a berry-like sweetness lead, with a savoury, briny note tucked in behind. Soft tannins let the fruit glide through to a floral finish. Serve it with a slight chill to sharpen the acidity. Charcuterie, roast chicken or a simple mushroom tart all make happy companions.

Food pairings: charcuterie, roast chicken, mushroom tart.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
