J. Lohr Carol's Vineyard 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant with ripe blueberry, cherry, earthy and cocoa aromas on the nose; dry, full-bodied and rich on the palate with dark berry, cherry, anise spice, dried tobacco leaf and chocolate flavours. Drink or hold. The wine commemorates the passing of Jerry Lohr's wife in 2008 due to complications from breast cancer. Today, $3 from every purchase of J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Since the program’s inception, sales from J. Lohr's Carol’s Vineyard releases have supported early breast cancer detection, access to mammograms, patient navigation systems and the delivery of HOPE Kits (a gift box of comforting items) to women undergoing breast cancer treatment. These programs continue to build on a partnership that has funded over 6,500 mammograms for women who otherwise would not be able to afford them.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
