Inama Soave Classico from the Veneto displays aromas of ripe pear, orange blossom, toasted almond and a hint of volcanic minerality. It's dry and medium-bodied with crisp acidity and subtle textural richness from lees contact that adds complexity without weight. Serve it well-chilled alongside grilled salmon with lemon and herbs where the wine's bright acidity and mineral character complement the delicate fish, or pair it with steamed mussels in white wine broth where the wine's floral notes and zesty finish echo the aromatic broth. Winemakers Stefano and Matteo Inama, representing the third generation of this family estate founded in 1967, craft this 100% Garganega from vines up to 53 years old planted on volcanic basaltic soils in the heart of Soave Classico, where estate founder Giuseppe began purchasing small vineyard plots in the 1950s when few understood the area's potential, then ferment it in stainless steel with three to six hours of skin contact and age it on fine lees for up to four months to enhance the wine's mineral character. The Garganega grape variety was originally called Graecanicum meaning "from Greece" before being transformed into its current name in the local dialect, and it was introduced to this hilly volcanic region by the Romans over 2,000 years ago, making Soave one of Italy's most historically significant white wine appellations. Enjoy this elegant Soave through 2030.

Soave Classico food pairings: steamed shellfish, grilled salmon, chicken.
