Bright ruby red colour. Intense aromas of red cherry and wild strawberry, plus floral notes and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, the wine is silky and structured, with polished tannins and a powerful backbone. The fruit is clear and present, carried by the lively acidity of the Sangiovese. The final is of medium length, with fine elegance and a pleasant spiciness. Dark plum and a whisper of clove open the glass, warm cedar trailing after. Polished tannins carry a long finish, silky and structured all the way. Bring on wild mushroom crostini or aged Parmigiano-Reggiano.
