F'oz Escolha Vinho Verde D.O.C. is a light, extra-dry white from Portugal's Vinho Verde region, made by winemaker João Portugal Ramos, one of Portugal's most decorated winemakers and widely credited with modernizing Portuguese viticulture. It's ripe and textured for a Vinho Verde, with fresh apple, kiwi, and a sliced apple aroma, balancing freshness and a rounder body than the typical lean style of the region. Serve it well chilled and drink it through 2027. João Portugal Ramos began his career as a consulting oenologist, working across Portugal before founding his own winery in Alentejo in 1997. His accolades include multiple Winemaker of the Year awards from Portugal's Revista de Vinhos, and the New York Times once compared him to Bordeaux's Emile Peynaud for his influence on Portuguese winemaking.

Food pairings: grilled sea bass with lemon and herbs, steamed clams with white wine and garlic, chicken with roasted peppers and olive oil.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
