Natalie's Score: 93/100

From the Piedmont wine region, Enrico Serafino Sanavento 2017 is a juicy, vibrant Barbaresco produced from the Nebbiolo grape. This is a medium-plus-bodied, smoky and earthy red wine with black cherry, licorice, red plum, dried sweet tobacco, dried violets, chocolate and cedar spice flavours on the palate with fantastic acidity for food. Tannins are grippy. Good now, better with some cellar time. Try in 2023.

Reviews and Ratings

From Enrico Serafino, Sanavento 2017 Barbaresco is vibrant, smoky and intense on the palate with black cherry, bright plum, dried sweet tobacco, cedar and anise spice flavours with a long finish. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo from the Piedmont wine region, this is a full-bodied, fresh Barbaresco with a tannic grip that would benefit from some cellar time. Try in 2023. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
