Amazing restraint and elegance in this Aussie blend! Almost French in its character. Savoury, juicy cedar and wild blackberry notes. Incredible length.

Reviews and Ratings

Jeremy Sprott rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lot happening on the nose - jammy black fruit, pepper and spices, leather, cocoa, herbaceous, forest floor and maybe a little meaty. The taste carried through on the jammy black fruit and pepper/spices with some cocoa and mint in the background. Good structure, long berry finish. Suggest pairing with spice rubbed lamb (I paired it with sichuan-style lamb with cumin).
All components of this wine are in plain view; the spicy warm shiraz first; the slightly savoury Merlot second and the structured and almost strict Cabernet third; in time these components will amalgamate to form an impressive blend, supported by rich, toasty oak. Special Value. Score - 95 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
