El Goru Garnacha Rosado Jumilla D.O. is a light, extra-dry rosé made by the saignée method from 100% Garnacha, a technique that involves bleeding off juice from red grape skins early in fermentation to create a deeper, more concentrated style of rosé. It's silky and fresh with juicy raspberry, blackberry, and red currant, lifted by bright acidity and a clean, dry finish. Serve it well chilled and drink it through 2027. Winemaker Ioana Paunescu co-founded Ego Bodegas in Jumilla in 2011 alongside Santos Ortiz, with the goal of making wines that showcase the region's character at accessible prices. The name El Gorú is a nod to a local hermit who was a well-known figure in the Jumilla area, and the winery has since grown to distribute wines in over 30 countries.

Garnacha Rosado food pairings: grilled scallops with lemon and herb butter, gazpacho with crusty bread, tapas board with jamón and manchego.
