Donnafugata Dea Vulcano is a medium-plus-bodied Etna Rosso from Sicily with a firm weight and dry profile, best served at room temperature. Winemaker Donnafugata blends mostly Nerello Mascalese with a touch of Nerello Cappuccio, aged in a combination of cement tanks and neutral oak with additional bottle aging, offering tart cranberry, alpine raspberry, Mediterranean scrub, peppery spice, and smoky mineral notes with velvety, polished tannins. At 13.5% alcohol, it has moderate aging potential through 2026, remaining vibrant and refined. Pair it with rustic meat stews to highlight its stony and spice character, or grilled game sausages to complement its nuanced red fruit. This wine reflects the unique volcanic terroir of Etna with grace and approachable structure.

Food pairings: rustic meat stews, grilled game sausages, meat lover's pizza.
