Winemaker Marian Santamaría, whose career began among these very vineyards over fifteen years ago before gaining experience in Toro, Rueda, and other prestigious Spanish regions, returned to lead Dominio Fournier with a mission to craft the finest wines in Ribera del Duero. Located in the Milla Escondida along a natural meander of the Duero River, the estate's sixty-year-old vineyards sit on soil covered with river pebbles that restrict vigor and concentrate flavors, and the winery employs innovative dry ice maceration before fermentation to extract the sweetest, most aromatic tannins.
