Domaine Tariquet's Sauvignon Blanc from the Côtes de Gascogne in southwest France is a vivacious, medium-bodied dry white arriving at just 12% alcohol, crafted entirely from estate-grown fruit by the Grassa family, who have been farming this land continuously since 1912 in a remarkable testament to multi-generational dedication to their Gascon terroir. The nose charms with a lifted bouquet of white peach blossom, fresh honeydew, and lemon verbena, while the palate delivers a bright, energetic rush of ripe greengage, tangy passion fruit, and crushed river stone, all underpinned by a sleek, chalky minerality and a clean, mouthwatering finish that invites another sip. This wine earned a Gold Medal at the Citadelles du Vin in 2025, one of France's most respected wine competitions, a well-deserved accolade for a wine that consistently over-delivers at its price point. Produced from vines over 20 years old and crafted with sustainable, vegan-friendly practices, this is an aperitif-perfect wine equally at home on a sun-drenched terrace as it is at the dinner table. Best served well chilled, pair it with a roast lemon and herb chicken where the wine's stony freshness and fruit vibrancy cut through the richness of the roasted skin beautifully, or try it alongside a veal scaloppini in a light white wine and caper sauce, where its zesty acidity and herbal undertones tie every element of the dish together effortlessly.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: fresh fish dishes, roast lemon chicken, veal scaloppini.
