Produced by the much-respected consulting winemaker Michel Rolland, this is a medium-bodied, lush and savoury mostly Malbec with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Creamy on the palate with ripe blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate and toasty nut flavours finishing long. Tannins are velvety. Pour with a juicy rib eye steak.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep purple full bodied wine with a pronounced aroma of blueberry, violet and plum with some vanilla. Initial tastes were wet stone, black pepper and dark cherry ; over time these tastes softened and evolved to include the plum and blueberry. Balanced with smooth tannins. This was paired with mature cheddar and mature smoked cheddar; both worked very well. This wine benefits from time to breathe; smooths off and rounds any initial rough edges.
Clos de los Siete 2017 is a full-bodied and elegant Argentine red wine with grapes sourced from seven premium vineyards, thus "Siete." Creamy on the palate with dark berry, chocolate and toasty hazelnut flavours. Tannins are fine and velvety. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
