A spectacularly rich and robust red that bursts out of the glass with aromas of black raspberry, and dark spices. Nicely balanced with a robust weight and long finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Oct 25, 2014: Medium ruby/garnet with lovely perfume of red fruit, dried fig, baking spice, dried herb, chocolate, anise, earthy and just a bit of wild gaminess lingering. Medium-full bodied, complex and maturing nicely with fig, plum, dried cherry/berry, cedar, spice, tobacco and mineral notes. Round and full on the palate, intensity is a little restrained, but with good balance with medium acidity and fine tannins that still have some grip on the long finish. Try pairing with a mild curried lamb on whipped cauliflower - (my spicy curry was a bit brutish for the wine).
