Chakana Nuna Vineyard Malbec from Mendoza is a graceful, medium-bodied red offering aromas of wild violet, crushed blackcurrant, and hints of dried lavender. It's dry with smooth tannins and lively acidity. Serve it slightly below room temperature with grilled flank steak as the wine's juicy fruit and delicate structure will enhance the charred meat's savory flavors beautifully, or pair it with aged Gouda cheese where the wine's refined texture and persistent finish will complement the cheese's caramel-like complexity perfectly. Winemaker Gabriel Bloise, who has over 20 years of experience crafting premium Malbec wines, works alongside director of viticulture Leonardo Devia to produce this wine from the certified organic and biodynamic Finca Nuna vineyard in Agrelo at 960 meters elevation. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts before aging in concrete vats for 6 to 10 months, a minimal intervention approach that allows pure expression of the terroir, and Chakana became fully certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter in 2014 after beginning the conversion process in 2012. Enjoy from 2023 or cellar for 2-4 years.

Malbec food pairings: grilled flank steak, aged Gouda cheese, roasted duck breast.
