Casas del Toqui's Gran Toqui Limited Edition Cabernet Sauvignon from Cachapoal Valley is a delicious, full-bodied red wine offering notes of ripe cranberry, wild blackberry, dried sage and mountain air. This dry wine displays delicate tannins and energetic acidity that will continue to develop over the next five years. Serve it at room temperature with steaks and chops from the grill as the wine's vibrant character stands up to the charred meat, or pair it with gourmet burgers where the wine's herbal layers complement the toppings. Winemaker Rodrigo Romero crafts this prototype Cabernet from Alto Cachapoal vineyards at 600 meters elevation at the foot of the Andes, where cooling mountain influences create wines of remarkable freshness and aromatic complexity. The wine's aromatic herbs appear both on the nose and resurface on the finish, defining the regional style. This fruit-forward, silky Cabernet represents excellent quality and will drink beautifully through 2031.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: steaks and chops from the grill, tourtiere, gourmet burgers.
