Ca' Montini Terre di Valfredda Pinot Grigio from Trentino opens with aromas of Meyer lemon, ripe pear, dried apricot, and wet stone minerality with hints of white flowers. Dry and medium-bodied with crisp, refreshing acidity, it flows across the palate with vibrant citrus and stone fruit before closing with an elegant, mineral-driven finish. Serve it well chilled or cellar it through 2029. Riccardo Cotarella, who has earned Wine Enthusiast's Winemaker of the Year and Gambero Rosso's Best Italian Winemaker awards, crafts this single-vineyard expression from the Valfredda site in Ala, meaning "cold valley," where the surrounding Dolomite mountains provide natural protection and the perfect east-west exposure creates ideal ripening conditions for Pinot Grigio, and the vines were planted in 1990 across 74 acres managed by three local families who hand-harvest the grapes. Pair this authentic expression with pan-seared white fish topped with lemon butter where the wine's bright acidity complements the delicate, citrus-kissed flavors, or enjoy it with grilled shrimp and summer vegetable salad as the wine's crisp character enhances the light, fresh ingredients.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: pan-seared white fish with lemon butter, grilled shrimp and summer vegetable salad, fresh mozzarella and tomato caprese.
