These vineyards benefit from a temperate coastal climate and warm sunny days with cool nights. Half the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for eight months. At blending, Petite Syrah was added to give the wine more color, and a firm backbone of tannins. A medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of mocha, coffee, cassis, blackberry and pepper. Balanced with a smooth texture.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: shepherd's pie, grilled cheese sandwich, turkey, bittersweet chocolate, rich pates.

Reviews and Ratings

Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Drink Wine and Giggle Gals enjoy this cab because it's like the girlfriend who blends in well and doesn't tell offensive jokes that leave a bad taste in the mouth. Beringer Stone Cellars cabernet sauvignon has a nice, but not overpowering personality reminiscent of a merlot and a price that leaves enough in the wallet for a trip to the craft store for eyeballs, nose and lips for a hand puppet (the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals enjoy performing in Masterpiece Puppet Theatre where we recreate our favourite scenes from Sex and the City.)
Christie Cheung rated this wine as 1/100 with the following review:

Not bad for house wine at 510nt ACC

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
