BenMarco Malbec from Los Chacayes in Uco Valley showcases deep raspberry, pomegranate, wild iris and a touch of graphite minerality. It's dry and medium to full-bodied with firm, structured tannins and energetic acidity that gives this high-altitude Malbec remarkable freshness and precision. Serve it at room temperature alongside grilled ribeye steak where the wine's bold structure and dark fruit complement the charred, savory meat, or pair it with beef Bolognese over pappardelle where the wine's acidity cuts through the rich tomato sauce while echoing the dish's meaty depth. Viticulturist and general manager Edgardo "Edy" Del Popolo, who has planted over 3,000 acres of vineyards across Argentina's diverse terroirs and is considered the country's most knowledgeable winegrower, crafts this unfined and unfiltered 100% Malbec from organically-managed grapes grown at 1,200 meters elevation on alluvial silt loam soils rich with gravel, then ferments it with extended maceration for 30 days before aging 11 months in second-use French oak barrels to preserve the pure fruit expression. Founded by pioneering winemaker Susana Balbo in 1999 after two decades as a consultant, the BenMarco range represents minimal-intervention winemaking that honors the distinctive character of extreme high-altitude sites, and this Malbec earned Silver at Mundus Vini and Bronze at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Enjoy this expressive Malbec through 2036.

Malbec food pairings: beef, turkey, spicy dishes, tomato sauces, hamburgers.
