Green apple and citrus open up on the nose, with a fresh, aromatic lift. The palate is crisp and lively, carrying that same apple and citrus character through to a clean finish. Zero grams of sugar per glass, yet it doesn't taste thin or austere. Lake Ontario's moderating effect and the elevation of the Niagara Escarpment slow the ripening of the grapes, which keeps the acidity racy and bright. Made from 100% Ontario grapes under the VQA designation, it's a wine that tastes alive in the glass.

Food pairings: light lemon pasta, grilled shrimp, or goat cheese salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Uniting Chardonnay, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer, this bottle from the wine makers at Bask has zero grams of sugar but not zero feel appeal. The appeal is present. When I chilled this one in an ice bucket for a spell, it felt pleasingly bright, refreshing, and tilted toward plushness. Seek joy in fresh leaning notes like stone fruit, citrus slices, and honeyed green apple. Chill, pour, share, enjoy.
