Vinous and fragrant nose of strawberries and fresh violets with touches of cinnamon, rhubarb and pepper. Light-bodied on the palate, it shows drinkability, silkiness, crisp acidity and a graceful aftertaste. Drink now. (Eric Guido,vinous.com,March 2026) MINE: This Rosso di Montalcino greets the glass with wild-strawberry and violet perfume lifted by cinnamon and rhubarb twists. Its buoyant, light body is threaded with crisp acidity and a silky texture that glides into a clean finish. Pair it with heirloom-tomato bruschetta or prosciutto-wrapped melon for a sunlit-summer match. NEW: Antinori makes this earlier-drinking red as a lighter counterpart to its serious Brunello bottlings. Dried cherry and a hint of clove come through first, a savoury, earthy edge, close behind. Light and silky, freshness carries through a clean finish. Pour it with heirloom tomato bruschetta or a simple charcuterie board.

Rosso Di Montalcino food pairings: Italian beef ragu, penne pasta with a rich meaty tomato sauce, pan-fried veal liver with onions and bacon.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
