Antaño Crianza Rioja DOC, Rioja, Spain is a classic and crowd-pleasing Tempranillo-based red that brings together ripe red fruit and savoury complexity. It opens with inviting aromas of red cherry, plum and raspberry, accented by notes of vanilla, baking spice and a touch of toasted oak from its ageing. The palate is medium-bodied and dry with smooth tannins, balanced acidity and around 13.5% alcohol, leading to a warm, lingering finish. Crianza designation means the wine has spent time ageing in oak barrels and in bottle before release, giving it a comforting depth and soft texture.

Rioja Doc food pairings: grilled chorizo and roasted peppers, where the wine’s red fruit and spice complement the smoky savoury flavours. Or enjoy it with lamb stew or a rustic tomato-based pasta, where its acidity and oak nuances balance rich, hearty dishes.
