Ant Moore A+ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a vivacious, light to medium-bodied white from one of the South Island's most distinctive independent producers, bursting with a pristine, exuberant bouquet of crunchy green apple, fresh white grapefruit, ripe gooseberry, Persian lime zest, and a delicate herbaceous whisper that ties it unmistakably to its cool Marlborough origins. It is dry and beautifully poised on the palate, with a silky, generous weight and a fine, mouth-coating texture that sets it apart from typical expressions of the variety, finishing long and refreshing with a subtle saline lick. Winemaker Anthony "Ant" Moore, a proudly Australian transplant who arrived in Marlborough in 2002 and never left, achieves this extra dimension of texture and depth by fermenting a portion of the fruit in old French oak barrels with extended lees contact, a technique that softens the variety's naturally assertive acidity and adds roundness without sacrificing a drop of freshness. Beyond making his own wines, Moore also established a custom crush facility to help small independent Marlborough growers bring their fruit to bottle, cementing his place as one of the region's most generous and influential figures. Serve it well chilled alongside a chilled prawn and avocado salad with a lime vinaigrette, where the wine's citrus brightness and fine texture will mirror the dish beautifully, or with freshly shucked oysters and a squeeze of lemon for the simplest and most satisfying of pairings. Drink now through 2027.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: chilled prawn and avocado salad with lime vinaigrette, freshly shucked oysters with lemon, grilled snapper with herb salsa verde.
