The Alta Yari Gran Malbec Calcáreo is a selection of vineyards planted in 2009 on the Alta Yari property, on the Lomas del Jaboncillo, in Gualtallary. A place characterized by its calcium-rich soils at an altitude of more than 1,500 meters. This is a selection of especially calcareous soils - white and stony soils in a block of about three hectares in this corner of the Andes known as Monasterio. Look for the flowers here, the red fruits that appear on the nose, but above all, for those sharp chalky tannins and that saline note toward the finish. A wine full of character that is also generous in its expression from a place as special as this, in the north of the Uco Valley. For the price, there are few wines with so much personality. (99 points - Patricio Tapia,guiadescorchados.cl,2025) NEW: Alta Yari farms a tiny, three-hectare block of calcium-rich soil in Gualtallary, over 1,500 metres up in the Andes. Black cherry and a hint of clove carry the nose, warm cedar close behind. Firm tannins give the palate personality, structured and fresh throughout. Try it with chimichurri skirt steak or empanadas with spiced beef.

Malbec food pairings: Mendoza asado, chimichurri skirt steak, empanadas with spiced beef.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
