Aromas of coffee and espresso nose, with black fruit and smoke on the palate of this robust Italian red. Smooth and mouth-filling with black fruit and smoke on a long finish. Decant 2 hours and enjoy with meat lovers' pizza.

Food pairings: pizza with meat, pork tenderloin, rare beef steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 92/100
Palazzo della Torre (2013) is a full-bodied Italian red wine is a classic blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Sangiovese grapes. The Corvina and Rondinella grapes are dried and become raisined and concentrated, they are then pressed in January after the vintage year. A second fermentation to concentrate and add complexity to the wine is carried out by adding fresh juice from the wine grapes. - Community Wine Reviews
