Darlene Myers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Malbec has really found its home in Argentina, and here's a Malbec that is very good value for the money. Black Cherries, spice and vanilla notes make for an easy to drink food friendly wine. One of my instructors as I was taking the Sommelier course called this 'a great Tuesday night' wine. Guilt free any night of the week.
Mark Britton rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This is one of the more basic Malbecs that the LCBO carries. Very fruit forward with little tannin and structure. But a very easy drinking wine which can be a sipper for any occasion as it doesn't require food as a pairing.

Natalie's Review

Argento Reserva Malbec 2008, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: Argento’s Reserva Malbec offers unbelievable value. The purple-coloured 2008 features ripe raspberry, black cherry and sandalwood aromas, leading to a medium full body featuring more ripe berry fruit flavours and hints of cocoa, supported by mild tannins. Toasty oak notes are prominent on the medium-long finish. My note: Simple and full-bodied with black fruit. 135160 13% D 750 mL  $12.95 Score: 85/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
