Brad rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a very nice cab. It was absolutely loaded with sediment and requires decanting with a screen. It has a very nice beet red colour with bold rich aromas of mint, black cherries and some pencil led. This is a wine with rich fruit flavours as the cherry is very prominent in this wine. It is full to the mouth and palate and has a beautiful spicy tingle. It tasted great with the BBQ filet. This is a must have cab for any cab lover

Natalie's Review

Langmeil Winery Blacksmith Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Vintages Wine Panel: This wine is named for a young blacksmith who emigrated to Australia from Prussia in 1843 and helped build the village of Langmeil. Matured in French oak (20% new) for 18 months, it’s made in a fruit-forward style, bursting with blackcurrant and blackberry aromas as well as notes of mint, vanilla and earth. Dry, medium full-bodied with generous fruit flavors balanced by medium tannins and acidity. Serve it over the next 3-5 years. My note: A long, lovely pure expression of black fruit and smoke. This full-bodied wonder has good acidity and a balanced structure. A rock solid effort from this producer. Drink: 2008-2014. 644039 14.50% D 750 mL  $23.95 Score: 90/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
